Teaching with 3D Printing

q214

The introduction of 3D printing into curricula across the KSU campus is a primary mission of the 3D Center. Are you thinking about introducing 3D printing into a course assignment? We are here to help. Do you have questions about 3D printing? You can schedule a meeting to discuss your application. It can be as simple as having something printed from a Thingiverse model or as involved as a senior design project. You can schedule a student assistant to come to your class and give a presentation. You can schedule a time for basic CAD training. You can schedule a time for 3D printing training.

Schedule a Meeting

When you don’t know where to begin this is the place to start. If you want to become familiar with our services or you have a specific application in mind this is the place to begin the journey. An initial meeting can provide you with the information you need to open new possibilities for you and your students.

Schedule 3D Printing Training

The 3D Center provides basic instruction in 3D printing for faculty and their courses. Students can be taken through the process of 3D printing and print an item for their course. If you have questions or need a 3D Printing Training consultation please contact 3dcenter@kennesaw.edu

Schedule CAD Training

The 3D Center provides basic instruction in CAD modeling for faculty and their courses. Training can be provided for students during a scheduled class time or be directed to online training. The CAD training may be for a single class period or up to three separate class periods. If you have questions or need a CAD Training consultation please contact 3dcenter@kennesaw.edu

Schedule a Student Assistant Class Visit

Student Assistants are a key point of contact. You can schedule a time for a student assistant to come to your class. Presentations are provided for Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) and how the process works for getting 3D prints for your class. We can also work with you on special topics for the specific needs of your course. If you have questions or need a Student Assistant Class Visit please contact 3dcenter@kennesaw.edu

Current Classes and Programs

Many classes have already incorporated 3D printing. The 3D Center would like to actively engage departments and faculty over the entire campus. The incorporation of 3D printing into curriculum opens new opportunities for teaching and learning previously unrealized. If you would like to incorporate 3D printing into your course please contact 3dcenter@kennesaw.edu
